Our Plan

Our plan to help students afford higher education can be attained by matching the good will of individual gifters with the philanthropy and social responsibility of institutional donors. The beneficiaries of these micro-loans – the students, can in some cases pay back their no-interest loans by volunteering in their local communities through a network of pre-approved organizations working closely with us in providing service opportunities to our loan-to-grant conversion program participants.

Our loan recipients can either pay back the loans within the timeframe negotiated with our loan managers or in some cases enroll in our loan-to-grant program and engage in direct service activities through local, national, and international non-profit organizations, including faith-based and community organizations, higher education institutions, and public agencies to satisfy the terms of the loan.

The loans can be used to pay most post-secondary education expenses.

At Iduka we encourage all students participating in our program to be involved in their local communities and volunteer their time and talents through one of our community service organization partners.

We make this possible by creating an innovative plan anchored in a Web-based micro-lending delivery system that connects gifters with students and schools, and incorporates student volunteerism as a mean for students to pay back their loans.

Our promise to our students is that we will relentlessly try to secure enough monies through private and institutional donors to meet this commitment to help students in our communities and across the world make a better future.
